The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, January 21 reveals Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will walk in on Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) embracing Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Also coming up, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will wonder why Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) keeps pushing back. Plus, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will see a different side to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). And Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will warn Phyllis.
Y&R spoilers tease Phyllis will run into Chelsea at Crimson Lights. Chelsea will warn Phyllis she may think she’s on top of the world now. But when the Newmans strike back, she won’t know what hit her. Phyllis will gloat that she and Cane will be taking over Newman Enterprises and Newman Media. “They’re finally getting what they deserve.”
Phyllis will suggest Chelsea should get out now while the going is good. But Chelsea will say she feels sorry for her, just as Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) walks in. Phyllis will tell her she should be celebrated for bringing Victor down.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Cane Tells Phyllis He’s The Person Who Matters
“So, the rumors are true,” Daniel will say, after Chelsea leaves. “Can you for once be happy for me?” Phyllis will reply. “This is bigger and better than anything I’ve ever done.” Daniel will say Summer knows about it and is upset. They’ll argue and Phyllis will storm off.
Meanwhile, Sally will angrily confront Cane. She’ll say he has no idea how far Billy has come. “Why would you make him an offer that could undo all the progress he’s made?” Cane will say he knows Billy better than she does. He’ll add that Billy’s only walking the new path he’s on because of her.
Cane knows he wants Chancellor. “Are you really gonna stand in his way?” Sally will ask how Cane thinks Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will feel when she hears about it. After all, she’s the one who took the company from Billy. “I’m asking you to rethink it,” she’ll add.
After Sally leaves, Phyllis will return. She’ll complain about Daniel and he’ll complain about Sally. Phyllis will put two and two together and ask if she was there about Billy. Cane will tell her he offered Chancellor to Billy.
“How do you think Jill’s going to react when she finds out you’ve given him back something she took away,” Phyllis will reply. Cane will say he thinks Jill will be fine with it, especially when Billy makes it a success. When she balks, Cane will tell Phyllis to leave the decisions to the only person who actually matters, him.
At the Abbott estate, Jack will tell Billy he was right about Jabot being safe and Cane and Phyllis attacking Newman. Billy will tell Jack he’s gotten an amazing opportunity. “I met with Cane last night, he offered me Chancellor.” Jack will tell his brother he’s fallen back on his old obsession.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Jack Accuses Billy Of Taking Advantage
“Nikki must be devastated and here you are ready to take advantage.” Billy will say he’s making assumptions, as he’s not accepted Cane’s offer.” But Jack will remind him they’ve been there before. They’ll continue to argue and Jack will ask what Sally thinks. Billy will say she’s not happy. “As your brother, I’m asking you to do the noble thing, for you,” Jack will tell him.
Billy will return home and he and Sally will discuss Cane’s offer. He’ll tell her he’s going to do everything he can to protect Chancellor. “Even if it ends up destroying you?” Sally will ask. Billy will say it won’t, he’s different now. “Why can’t you want that for me?” Sally will tell him she doesn’t trust Cane, who has an agenda. Billy will say he’s doing this to make things right between them.
Finally, Jack will head over to Newman ranch. Nikki will thank him for handing over Matt Clark. He’ll say he heard what’s going on at Newman and she’ll admit they could lose everything. But she’ll say one good thing about it is that Jabot is safe.
“I am glad Victor is facing this karmic payback, but I hate that the rest of the family is going through this too,” Jack will reply. “I hate that this is happening to you.” Then she’ll embrace him. Nikki will ask how Jack knew about Newman’s troubles.
Jack will say Cane offered Chancellor to Billy. “He should know I am not giving up Chancellor that easy,” Nikki will reply. She’ll reiterate that Jack has no idea how much his friendship has meant to her. They’ll embrace again and Victor will walk in. But will he blow his top?
